VHM tungsten carbide WCCO       ISO P30: P35, PVD coating

Coated solid carbide inserts currently represent 80-90% of all cutting materials for machining.

The material owes its success to the outstanding combination of wear resistance and toughness.
Coated hard metal combines its substrate with a coating. Together, these two high-quality elements are assigned to a special area of application.

SinterGrip is therefore the combination of this material with its profile-ground special clamping pyramids together with the
Triangular shape of the SinterGrip solid carbide inserts and the conical insert seat.

Clamping pyramids

The SinterGrip inserts are basically profiled (sharply serrated) indexable inserts made of solid carbide (sintered metal WCCO).

 

With its special profile-ground shape of a truncated pyramid, the solid carbide clamping insert penetrates the material to be machined and thus forms a clearance-free composite. The SinterGrip clamping insert and   the workpiece together form a compact vibration-damping unit.
This means that extremely high holding forces can act during processing.

SinterGrip can be used on any mechanical, hydraulic and mechanical-hydraulic clamping system. For all other clamping systems, check the application options!

tRIANGULAR corner-shape    + 5 ° dovetail

The special triangular shape of the SinterGrip inserts ensures a compact and solid connection between the clamping device and the workpiece.

 

  • It distributes the tension evenly

  • It absorbs the vibrations so that a high level of stability and damping is guaranteed

  • The special inclined shape (5 degrees) of the SinterGrip clamping insert creates a pull-down effect that is transferred to the workpiece and thus prevents it from being lifted
